Building a high quality Flight Simulator, Home Cockpit or Desktop Trainer with high fidelity is a challenging experience. The following video gives you a quick glance into all of the steps taken, from start to finish, in order to build a DIY Cockpit that resembles the real aircraft, and can be used to train pilots, you will need tools, knowledge and a lot of patience. This project in particular was assembled in a garage and is completely hand made, with only some pre-assembled parts (manufacturers mentioned below). The completion of this project involved carpentry/woodworking, working with pilots and the aircraft, software programming in several languages (LUA, C++, etc.), understanding flight simulators such as X-Plane, Flight Simulator and prepar3D, programming electronics, basic understanding of electronic components (switches, relays, push buttons, etc) and high end gaming computer assembly.
